Well, bonus month is over and now it is time for our usual programming to resume!Season 2 is now among us and we begin with its second episode following the finale we covered before bonus month. Today we learn some important lessons such as kissing random aliens may lead to unintended consequences. I for one don't intend to change my alien smooching regardless of this. We start things off strong here with a fun episode where we learn a little bit more about the Goa'uld and watch the most heartbreaking failure at the end of a Silent Assassin run attempt.
Also the terrible security at Cheyenne Mountain Base serves to vindicate Senate Kinsey's opinion on how horrificly run this operation is.

It's nominally the same plot, I guess? Unfortunately, while the original Far Cry was a technological marvel in open, explorable levels and physics technology...this is an Uwe Boll movie.

There's honestly not much I have to riff on here for an episode description, because it's goddamn Aliens. It's a great movie. It's a fantastic movie. If you haven't seen it, there is probably something quite wrong with you. If you are listening to this podcast, there certainly is. We are joined in this episode by Violet the Bat, a lovely friend to join us in becoming a melting sapphic puddle throughout this movie. We also discuss how the rest of the Alien franchise is actually very cool, very based, and these are the words exactly used by Violet the Bat to describe those movies.

For our second episode of bonus month, we talk about the 1997 action movie Face/Off starring Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Even if you haven't seen this one...come on, you know what it's about. An FBI agent played by John Travolta's child is assassinated by Nicolas Cage whilst he's finishing a Burger King meal, Travolta swears revenge. There's some sci-fi face and actor swapping shennanigans too! There's something in there about peach consumption as well, not sure what that's about, I hope it's not weird and creepy or anything.
 
Featuring a tangent where we talk about how the Nostalgia Critic single-handedly destroyed an entire generation's media literacy.

Hard Ticket to Hawaii in which the world's worst DEA agents take down some kind of drug ring ruled by a white guy from Hong Kong with weird vibes. There's also a deadly toxic snake in there somewhere. Honestly, the plot doesn't matter in the slightest. This whole thing is just a vehicle for gratuitous scenes showing naked women mixed with some bad practical effects and even worse acting.
