This episode is a bit janky as our Soundbot decided to break on us. So we have to swap the two active drops in Blerp. Sorry about that. It's a good episode and despite what the Rotten tomato's ratings say. An amazing movie

Well, if you're an almighty Goa'uld Lord, apparently that answer is carrying out the worst possible interrogation to trade your life for information.While the rest of SG-1 is trapped in the nightmare prison, Teal'c learns the important lesson. If it looks bad, hit the bricks. Don't worry as he will be returning with the help of the Tok'ra who will absolutely not do some bullshit that nearly gets everyone killed. We love the Tok'ra. They're so good at what they do.

We have to find out how she, the only person to have escaped the hell moon, managed to get out. That means we also have to deal with Martouf being a little creepy weirdo again. It's peak depression hours again. Come on girls, let's get rotmaxxing in a hopeless fervor as we discuss the third installment of Hideki Anno's remake of the anime that makes you feel really bad. It's Evangelion time! We return to these movies after a long while to ask such philosophical questions as "what if you were gay?" and "is it ethical to put a bomb collar on a child?". Well, maybe I am slightly exaggerating there, but we certainly go on some tangents that make our friend and returning guest Storm (not the cat) insane.After Shinji put non-branded flavour aide in the oceans, we have to figure out how to find hope in a hopeless world. Also they did sci-fi magic to make all the underage characters not age for 100% not weirdy creepy fanservice and merchandising opportunities for the absolute worst fans out there. Hope tells us that they thematically make it work later on and I'm inclined to believe her, but...come on. There's a contingent of Evangelion fans whose hard drives really need checking.The full episode is nearly 3 hours long and this is not even our longest one. Sometimes it's riffs, sometimes it's actually making interesting points that engage critically and meaningfully with this art. I'm honestly convinced that Anno spent hours and hours in some kind of fucked up laboratory studying how to make you feel as much pain as physically possible with this one.

I really love it when Hope just hits the record button without telling us and begins the episode. So, Zencastr is fucked. Podcastle is fucked. We're trying a new way of recording, which should hopefully not change anything for you. Anyway, with the preamble out of the way, let's talk about Stargate. Maybe. Sorry, this season is being a mixed bag again and today we got given an episode where absolutely nothing happens and we have to do a bunch of filler to make content out of it. Daniel is forced to relinquish his title of wife guy as he experiences the most common thing to happen to anybody in the United States military, which is to witness his wife being penetrated by another man. What ensues is an episode in which every single character attempts to tell Daniel to go find a baby about 50 times and he somehow doesn't understand what any of them mean. There's no riddles. There is absolutely nothing confusing about what he is being told in the slightest.I don't know, he has COVID or something this episode.

I (Hope) am sleepy. Because the episode was originally exported at 1.6x speed. You might have gotten to hear the patreon cut. With jokes and goofs (why the fuck was there a charcoal Taki in my bag of crisps) left in. You can still hear it on our patreon which is free for April. The regular episode is up NOWIt finally happened! After all this time, the gang is back together again. What better way for us to bring everyone back onboard than to do a little bit of team building? We rented out the Stargate National Park of Vancouver for an exciting outdoor game of laser tag with a little twist that Ryan and Hope couldn't possibly be expecting. I thought we could make things a bit livelier if they had laser tag guns, but I had a fully functioning AR-15 with bump stock. If they can survive this encounter, it will make them better podcasters.Oh yeah, we actually talk about Stargate at some points during this episode, I guess. We're a Stargate podcast. I basically just described what happens in this episode at the Apophis ISIS training camp stocked with the best military grade twinks the US armed forces could find. We have some mixed bag episodes in this show sometimes in terms of quality, but this time we got an absolute banger of an episode. We were so close. We were so close to returning to the way the podcast was intended to be. Frosty AKA Sierra finally has returned (that's me) and Ryan wasn't overworked or half-dead for once. Unfortunately, Hope is busy with her collection of 10/10 smoke show baddies in another country, so the inmates are running the asylum on this one.And I was supposed to edit the episode and build our backlog while Hope was away. I did not. Sorry.Anyway, that's enough preamble. This is an episode where we explore such groundbreaking ideas as misunderstanding what the term "dark ages" means as the gang arrive at the field in Vancouver to find the civilisation that's just one church. Not a particularly big one either. Also no one seems to do any kind of labour or agriculture whatsoever apart from watch an old man decide who should be sacrificed to Satan. We don't want to do it, but if we kill enough people, God will forgive us or something idk.
