Look, I don't know, okay?
Stuff happens in this episode and there are these weird naked dudes covered in weird paint who have no spoken language other than screaming. They get COVID or something, idk. Our crew finally got a UAV killstreak and it smallpox blankets an entire planet of people, which is an unconventional COD lobby strategy, but we'll see how it plays out.
Our beloved Hope is AWOL on this episode trying to escape deepstate assassins, so it's a first for the podcast with a Ryan and Frosty only special!

S2E17 - Serpent’s Song

And after our weird ACAB old man episode, we're back with an episode with an interesting idea undercut by one constant question: Why don't you just shoot the bastard? After all this time, the squad has finally apprehended Apophis by mere chance after investingating a supposed Tok'ra signal through Gate. Or perhaps it was more planned than it seems.
Apophis spends this episode being involved with some kind of kink play whilst attempting to play master chess manipulation with all the members of SG-1, who roundly tell him to fuck off. Carter and Hammond have to hold Jack back from just double tapping him. But why? Well, because if they just shot him, we wouldn't have 40 minutes of television as that would have actually just resolved the plot in about 2 minutes.
We also discover the concept of Two-Face Hammond. Rather than his coin being the side of fairness and justice, with the other side being derangement and cruelty, Hammond is flip flopping between two different alter egos. Democrats as portrayed by The West Wing and Average Texas Republican™.
As we were on a time limit for recording this one, we had to set ourselves the goal of limiting the bits, the goofs, and the gaffs. We failed.

S2E16 - Holiday

Welcome to the sequel to Face/Off, where Daniel swaps faces with an old man as we get to see Michael Shanks in old man makeup doing some of the absolute worst acting you've ever seen. I'm sorry, we love you, but the old man acting in this one was a bit of a stinker. In contrast, we get to see Christopher Judge pretending to be Jack O'Neill and absolutely killing it. We briefly discuss how good an actor he is and how underused he usually seems to be in the role of Teal'c.
Our favourite crew of Airforce guys and their nerd twink bf stumble upon another weird box room through the Stargate. Here they encounter the aformentioned old man who has been crafting technology to fight the Goa'uld, including a funky mind switching box. What ensues is the exact same plot with Teal'c from Bane where old guy in Daniel's body hangs out in the city, makes friends with a very sweet homeless guy, and gets to learn about the proud parts of human culture. Just the best parts, like the ice cream and police brutality.
I guess Stargate says ACAB?

I sure don't get any of that nerd crap, but the SGC have recruited Dr GBroatic from the Dutch Pentagon to rate this episode of Stargate's scientific accuracy on matters of space, black holes, time dilation and all that good stuff. The rest of us continue to make dumb jokes because we're idiots.
On this episode of Stargate, our crew does a fucky-wucky and accidentally opens a Stargate to a planet that is being gobbled up by an exploding star! That's what we in the business like to call "not good". Forced to leave an SG team to get crushed to death violently and with the gate refusing to close, the full combined might of the SGC and the United States government need to figure out how to stop the entire Earth from being gobbled up.
And Frosty is under strict orders to make NO JOKES about Dutch people. We don't need an international incident.
