S2E11 - The Tok’Ra Part 2

And now as promised, it's time to press that "resolve the plot" button!
After last week's homoerotic tensions between MacGyver and a man with an orb, we return to the super secret resistance base of the Tok'Ra, the secret Goa'uld resistance group that does approximately something between jack and shit. But threats from within appear as a looming Goa'uld invasion appears with questions on how they discovered the super secret crystal caves.
All the while, the gang is trying to figure out how to free their people while trying to mend diplomatic ties with a potential new ally. Why do they even want to allign with the Tok'Ra? I don't know, they're not really that good at anything.
We also see Sam's dad again, the man who is just very happy to be included and meet aliens. Honestly, I feel this guy. I'd be like him with the opportunity to meet some aliens.

S2E10 - The Tok’Ra (Part 1)

It's time for the big two parter special. After finally being hyped up for the whole season, it's time we meet the Tok'Ra. These badass, Goa'uld resistance fighters must be pretty cool, I bet. I really hope it's not just 20 guys in a cave sniffing their own farts without much of an ability to do anything useful. That couldn't be the case. Not at all.
Carter experiences visions of Jolinar's memories that allow them to find where the Tok'ra are currently hiding and pay them a visit in the Stargate. Along the way we meet new friends, embark on a journey of dubious polyamory, and dying dads. We've got it all here, folks. Join us as Frosty enters this episode with a more mild attitude towards the Tok'ra as she descends slowly into being blackpilled about their uselessness by Ryan.
Everything happens this episode in Part 1. Next week, you will get to see them press the big "solve the plot" button. Exciting!

This movie sucks. This movie is sucks. This movie sucks. See, Frosty thought that since this wasn't the 2017 Hitman movie that got heavily memed on for being bad, it might just be a slightly average bad adaptation that we could all have a little chortle at. No, it just sucks. Not only does it suck, it's all transphobic. Incredible. I certainly did not have that on my bingo card, nor did I have the apparent land border between Turkey and Russia. This movie must be so advanced Turkish propaganda that it's even pretending Armenia isn't real.
I am truly sorry for my crimes against humanity here.

It's now the episode that was supposed to come out last week!Join us for a repeat of the last wife episode, but this time with a whole new limited edition Daniel Jackson flavour. Having been a year since the events of Children of the Gods, it is now time for Daniel to return to Abados and deliver the bad news on his failure to meet his promise to rescue Sha're. However, an unexpected surprise awaits them as they arrive. It's Teal'c being less misogynistic somehow this episode.
Meanwhile, our B plot follows Sam and Jack as they are set to receive a medal from the President of the United States himself. Should just be a nice simple ceremony where nothing bad happens and nobody gets Jamal Kashoggi'd.

S2E9 - Bane

Yes, I know we skipped an episode. Secrets is coming next week instead because Hope needs longer to edit that one! We do reference it in this episode, but don't worry! Bane is a filler episode anyway.
We're once again returning to our buddies in Cheyenne Mountain to witness the Kafkaesque machinations of the United States military. No, we're not talking about the concept of bureaucracies that are intentionally difficult to understand and navigate, but Kafka in the literal "you are turning into a bug" sense! On a mysterious visit to a dead civilisation that gives us a glimpse into London, Venice, and Miami in about 20 years, our boy Teal'c gets stung by the big bug that makes you very sweaty.
Returning to a familiar plot beat in the series, Teal'c must escape the Pentagon who really want to study and dissect the only black member of the main cast. He's running! He's bugging! He wanders into the bad side of town where everyone is waiting around every street corner to pounce on you and be incredibly welcoming to you.

S2E7 - Family

Well it finally happened. Teal'c is now officially one of the troops after coming home from his tour of duty and discovering that his wife has a new boyfriend. It's another character episode on our boy where we pick up from last season where they rescued his son from being turned into a Jaffa. Why did they leave them behind on Chulak before? Well, because this episode wouldn't have happened if they actually saved them before.
 
Oh and...yeah this is another visit to the misogyny zone. Women are property and possessions. Teal'c dehumanises his wife, who has basically no agency or role of her own in this episode other than to serve as an object of desire. It's actually pretty vile. Yikes.

Max Payne is a 2001 third-person action video game developed by Remedy set in New York with a neo noir theme, featuring a story told between levels in the medium of a graphic novel. This already incredibly cinematic experience that boils down to "What if John Woo made a Neo-Noir John Wick movie?" probably could make a great movie, right? Right?

I don't know, this is a really weird episode. I'm not sure if we accidentally tuned into an old episode of Doctor Who by mistake. The only thing that's certain is that no Welsh quarry can withstand the power of the orb.
